Injection molding with innovative equipment

Injection molding with innovative equipment

In addition to standard injection molding, some of which is produced in clean rooms, we can also produce 2K, hybrid as well as high-quality IML and IMD parts on our machines. Our injection molding machines are equipped with robotic handling systems and are in some cases fully automated.

IMD and IML injection molding

IMD and IML injection molding

HURST + SCHRÖDER uses IMD/IML technology to produce functional and design-oriented surfaces in one single manufacturing process.

This highly efficient and economical production process makes a significant contribution to resource-saving production of plastic parts.

As an innovator, we are already implementing the installation of sensors in finished surfaces.
For example, we can decorate the front of a control panel with an integrated display in a single process step and functionalize the rear by back-injecting films with conductor tracks.

2-component injection molding

2-component injection molding

HURST + SCHRÖDER uses multi-component injection molding to produce complex injection-molded parts made of different plastics.

In the simplest case, the plastics differ only in color in order to achieve a certain design. However, different materials and therefore different properties can also be specifically combined.

Thanks to the 2K process, the components are produced cost-effectively with just one tool in a single work step.

Metal back injection molded inserts

The form-fit connection that we achieve through hybrid technology between thermoplastics and metals leads to weight savings of up to 60 percent compared to metals such as aluminum and stainless steel and offers us design freedom.

With this cost-effective process, a form-fit connection is created between the media, which makes joining, such as gluing the metal components into the plastic, superfluous.

By minimizing weight, this process leads directly to a reduction in resources.

Thanks to the intelligently optimised design, we can achieve up to five times the specific strength of metals.

Take advantage of our expertise in this area and contact us.
